Dear friend,
Depending on the weather forecast, the Stupa visit this Sunday may have to be cancelled if it’s raining. We will send out an email this Saturday to let you know if the Stupa visit is cancelled.

  • arrive at the Temple by 10:00 am if you wish to carpool – 96 Whitehaven Crescent NE
  • arrive at the Stupa by 10:45 am, 470 85 St SW, near Canada Olympic Park
  • wear comfortable shoes as there is a short hike to the Stupa
  • bring folding chairs or mats to sit on
  • there is no potluck lunch
  • you don’t need to bring any offerings

We encourage you to carpool to the Stupa as there are parking spaces for approximately 20 cars. There will be a tent set up next to the Stupa; we will have access to the bathroom inside the caretaker’s house.

10:45 arrive at the Stupa, 470 85 St SW
11:00 Sangsol (offering purification and victory to the elemental guardians, requesting protection and blessings from Buddha, Bodhisattvas and elemental guardians.)

There is a vegetarian potluck dinner at 5:00 pm at our Center, 96 Whitehaven Crescent NE, to say farewell to HE Tulku Neten Rinpoche and to thank him for his kindness.

Nếu chủ nhật này trởi mưa thì chúng ta sẽ không có chuyến đi thăm Bảo Tháp. Chúng tôi sẽ thông báo vào thứ bẩy này nếu chuyến đi thăm Bảo Tháp bị hủy bỏ.

Chúng ta sẽ gập ở chùa Tây Tạng lúc 10 giờ sáng để đi chung và sẽ đến Tháp lúc 10 giờ 45. Buổi lễ sẽ bắt đầu lúc 11 giờ sáng.

Bên cạnh Bảo Tháp sẽ có lều và chúng ta có thể sử dụng phòng vệ sinh trong nhà. Các Phật tử mang theo ghế xếp hoặc chiếu để ngồi.

  • Tibetan word of the day: མུ་

    མུ་

    permutation; possibility; boundary

    Spelling (jorlok; Tib. སྦྱོར་ཀློག་) and pronunciation:
    མུ་་ – ma zhabkyu mu
    mu

    We use this in Tibetan logic: mu sum, mu zhi. Three possibilities, Four possibilities
    Four Possibilities in the form of Questions:
    a) Is it possible that there is something that exists that is a table and also impermanent?
    b) Is it possible that there is something that exists that is not a table and also impermanent?
    c) Is it possible that there is something that exists that is a table and not impermanent?
    d) Is it possible that there is something that exists that is not a table and not impermanent?

    Geshe la encourages us to learn Tibetan to help gain deeper
    understanding of the teachings, and gain access to prayers and rituals that have not been translated. The Tibetan word of the day is offered to give regular exposure to Tibetan reading and vocabulary.
