The full moon occurs this Sunday Feb 9. Instead of the usual Sunday Dharma teaching, we will perform Medicine Buddha and Tara prayers. H.H. Dalai Lama has requested for temples to join in the effort to perform prayers on this day. The prayers will help with the coronavirus outbreak and other sicknesses.
In the morning we will perform Medicine Buddha prayers starting at 10am. We will have a short lunch break, and resume in the early afternoon with Tara prayer.
For the practice on this day, please
– bring your vajra and bell if you have them
– bring offerings for the altar: flowers, fruits or cookies made without eggs or animal fats.
– avoid eating meat, eggs, onions or garlic during the day.
Our events are open to the public and free of charge.
Events are open to attend in-person, and are often cast on Zoom.
Our resident teacher is available for private consultation by appointment.
