• The next series of teachings starting July 2nd, 2017 will be on Karmic Cause and Effect. Geshe la will describe the ten non-virtuous actions and give a detailed explanation on the relationship between the ten non-virtues and their karmic results on your life, what caused them, and how to stop them in the future. The ten non-virtues are:

    From the Body:
    1) taking life and its results
    2) taking what is not given and its results
    3) sexual misconduct and its result

    Speech:
    1) lying and its karmic results
    2) sowing discord
    3) harsh speech
    4) idle gossip (or worthless chatter)

    Mind:
    1) covetousness,
    2) ill will (or wishing harm on others)
    3) wrong views

    It is with great joy, I inform you of the public talk by His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje. His Holiness is the supreme head of the Karma Kagu order and this incredibly wise and compassionate Master travels around the world to promote world peace and religious harmony. This is His Holiness’ first visit to Canada and Calgary is truly blessed to be one of the few cities he had chosen to visit.

    Spelling (jorlok; Tib. སྦྱོར་ཀློག་) and pronunciation:
    ཡུམ་ – ya zhabkyu yu ma yum (yoom)
